hello Bradley Buffalo's welcome to the Radley beat job talking about the super moon which happened on September 27th robotics Club are new pre-k program and new students to the school on September 20th since we had an unusual move it was a supermoon lunar eclipse it was so cool whoa whoa did you see yeah that was so cool we now drawing angel Morgan with mr. Fox last time it happened it was 1982 and the next time it will happen is 2033 that night we saw the peak of the lunar eclipse about 10:15 ended around 11:15 if you lived in Shawnee filling the none of the blood men as well which is an extremely rare sight I left it actually never was. Time to explain more about this paranormal I am here with mr. Funk and I'm going talk about the super moon lunar eclipse that happened last Sunday so mr. Funk what were you looking forward to about the super moon lunar eclipse well it they don't happen very often so it was kind of neat to be able to see a total lunar eclipse the Moon being as close as it gets to the Earth in its orbit okay and what was so interesting about the super moon lunar eclipse what what are the things that I liked about it is that it was early okay so a lot of students got to go out and see it I didn't have to get up in the middle of the night usually some of these eclipses take place at about 2 a.m. so I sleep for a few hours get up take some video take some pictures but Schwinn actually started fairly early about 8 or so so lot of students got to see it so I thought that was good all the super moon is when the moon reaches its closest point to the Earth for the entire year we know the moon orbits the earth once a month and so every month it reaches its closest point called and it's for this point called apogee alright so we know that the moon orbits the earth once a month and occasionally it goes above the Earth's Shadow and below the Earth Shadow we know the Earth cast a shadow because it's so giant rock in space but tonight specifically as the moon goes behind the Earth it's going to pass through the Shadow and that's what we call a lunar eclipse when we have this orientation of the Sun the Earth and the moon all forming a straight line the moon is going to go into the air Shadow and actually turn deep red color it's the same reason that we see a deep red sunset as the sun goes low or down to the Horizon the sunlight passes through the atmosphere and that's cause it to turn that reddish Hue then this configuration the mood or sees me the sunlight passes through the atmosphere of the earth travels all the way to the Moon bounces off the what comes right back at us and so we see this beautiful deep red colored Moon think of the super I thought I thought it was again like I say when I when I ask my students that have come over to the theater since the eclipse you know probably over 5% of them got to see the eclipse at least part of it they may not have got to stay up for the entire time but that was good that that a lot of people got to see it and do you think this event is rare a supermoon total lunar eclipses is pretty where the next Supermoon total lunar eclipse will take place in 2033 so that's about 8 years from now another thing that's even more impressive than that was the total lunar eclipse that we had Sunday was the fourth of four in a row and I've been researching that trying to find out when the next time we will have what is call the tetrad of lunar eclipse total lunar eclipses and I've looked out to 2100 and we won't have one Queen now and then I think I've read previously that it will be over 250 years before that will happen again so that that's even more rare than the super total lunar eclipse and that will be all is so cool now we go to the second year over by with Ben and Eddie this is the second year robotics Club is called is for the fifth through sixth grade Bradley structures of this program Army swinger and this car his program is dedicated to helping students learn about technology and to understand how to use it there how many different things to do including programming website building coding and CS first music and I'm with Morgan Hilton they're both of the 6th grade Miss Khan's class they are both in robotics Club so what are you working on a robotics Club there working on it music video for a song friends are going to sing can we see what you working on this is it right now so what's to do well what will it do just going to pick up that with its arms that we're making issues are fat that we dealt with robots except it has a grabber claw it has a 360 radio where's that Grabber claw  Grabber claw and 60 radio antenna and it feels good no service number good going on those projects now to see the new Pre-K classes first one topped with the teachers Miss Pennington and Miss Grigsby this year's the first year for the Pre-K students many of the students enjoy school and plan to fight card throughout the school year their teachers love to teach them even lyrics Austin by the end of the day the Pre-K anxiously wait until they're able to do after school activities including robotics club and privileges like the cafeteria food and tell them they are very much enjoying their young lives trust me they'll miss it this is Elizabeth interviewing and so what got you into teaching it would have been my third grade teacher really got me into it so that's cool that's really cool how is it teaching Pre-K no they are fun they keep you busy and my time I go home I'm very tired on your toes  how do you think Pre-K is going this year we are learning Lots so far we have all of our kiddos learning how to write the first and last names so it's a big change for them and for just counting and doing our ABCs and just learning letters and I think they're doing good so do you enjoy teaching Pre-K or have you taught other grade get you enjoy more I actually have before I taught preschool I taught 8th graders math so yeah big different big job yes I did my and teaching in 6th grade as well so I actually have taught and been in all the grades and I worked with I worked with high school students to and call students but you know I like the little ones what do you expect to student well they're just learning is it their first time ever being in a school setting so we teach them the rules and the routines and I'm hoping by the end of the year that they can sit for at least 20 minutes thank you okay so this is Elizabeth Schultz and thank you for the interview  along with the new pre-k program where are also nice turning over to You Christina Eddy with the new student interviews it's Eddie and I'm here with  what grade are you in I'm not in a day where are you in pre-k or kindergarten at Bradley is this any different from your old school and you like it or not like it make it and it's dead look at my Recess Recess what is your favorite food in cafeteria hamburger same here like do you usually bring school lunch or do you use to buy lash he's living Edge what do you like about Bradley this year she's really really really nice and it always takes her I'm with me Destiny who's your teacher evil yeah this is awesome what would you have your class doing every single day doing math facts in and when they're done coloring it do you like it here yes what's different about your old school my old school was very good it didn't have the gym like this and lots there were lots of different things do wish you could stay at Bradley forever yet so how is it here do you like it Bradley are you doing any extra activities like robotics club or different things like that now do you like the idea of being Fable 2 is there anything you like here more than your last school and have one in my old school okay well thank you what's your favorite food that you bring from home to eat at school Gravely brownies brownies are yummy is there anything else chocolate chip muffins play so I know you have a sweet tooth thanks can't wait to meet them play
